Tournament Rules

Format: Scramble

All players tee off from the tee box corresponding to their normal skill level. The team selects the best shot, and all players hit their next shots from that spot (within one club-length, no closer to the hole). This process is repeated until the ball is holed. This is a SCRAMBLE format, not Best Ball.

Three-Player Teams

To provide a fair and competitive format, one player will hit an additional rotating shot on each hole, giving the team a total of four shots per hole.

The order of the extra shot must rotate evenly among all three players throughout the round so that each player receives the same number of additional shots whenever possible. All other scramble rules remain in effect.

Recommended Tee Boxes

To help ensure an enjoyable round and maintain pace of play, please use the following recommended tee boxes:

    ●    Championship Tees (Blue – 6,600 yards): Low-handicap golfers (0–9 handicap) and highly skilled players.

    ●    Regular Tees (White – 6,028 yards): Most men (10–24 handicap). Recommended for the majority of participants.

    ●    Forward Tees (Red – 5,408 yards): Seniors (65+), higher-handicap golfers (25+), and beginners.

Tournament Tees (7,002 yards) will not be used for this event.

Thank you for selecting the tee box that best matches your playing ability. Choosing the appropriate tees helps keep the tournament fun, fair, and on schedule for everyone.

Hazard & Boundary Rulings

Out of Bounds (OB): Out of bounds is defined by perimeter property fences, white stakes, and the inside curb edges of all public roadways bordering the course.

Water Hazards: All lakes and main water features are designated as Lateral Hazards and are defined by red stakes or red lines.

Quarry Rock Formations: The historic, exposed rockfaces of the Jensen Quarry that line the fairways are typically treated as immovable obstructions or penalty areas, meaning you cannot attempt to hit from them if it threatens player safety

LONGEST DRIVE COMPETITION (Hole #18)

All competitors must tee off from the blue tee to qualify on Hole #18. Only your first "tee" shot is eligible; no mulligans may be used on this hole. The ball must finish completely inside the cut fairway grass for the respective hole. if your ball enters the rough, sand, or hits a hazard during flight, it does not count as a valid drive. The first player to hit the fairway places the marker sign at the exact spot their ball stopped. The next golfer to hit a longer, valid drive moves the marker and writes their name on the card. Furthest valid drive at the end or the round wins!

CLOSEST TO THE PIN CHALLENGE (Hole #16)

All competitors must tee off from the blue tee for the shot to count on Hole #16. Only the first "tee" shot is eligible; no mulligans may be used on this hole. The ball must come to rest completely on the green for the respective hole. If your first tee shot is closer than the current leader's, write your name and distance to the pin on the marker card, then move the marker to your ball's resting spot.The golfer closest to the hole at the end of the tournament wins the designated prize!

Tournament Upgrades (Available at Registration)

Mulligans ($10 ea. or 3 for $25)

• Convert missed shots into do-overs

• Maximum of 3 mulligans per player

• Helps keep team scores low while supporting the Regiment.

• Note: Cannot be used on Longest drive or Closest to the Pin holes.

Putting String ($20 per 6-ft)

• Convert near-miss putts Into holed strokes without taking the final stroke.

• Limit: 1 string per player.

• Stretch string from ball to hole, cut off that length and discard it.

• Once cut, it's gone! No tying together or reuse.

• Green use ONLY (cannot improve lies in bunkers/rough/trees).
